Proud of Pollokshields Clean Up

On a rainy Sunday afternoon, G41 went along to the Proud of Pollokshields Clean Up and made this podcast.
We found a green fairy, yellow ponchos, litter pickers, bin bags and lots of local residents committed to making their community a better place.
There was also an exhibition of special benches designed by a team of architects that could be coming to a street near you!

Shawlands Academy podcast

On 12 June students from Shawlands Academy organised a special eco-conference to celebrate the work of a three-year project partnering them with schools in Sweden, France and Cyprus.

This is the final year of the project but the students' work continues. They want to show their commitment to environmental awareness by following the eco-school programme.
The Shawlands Academy project has been widely reported on TV and press - including the G41 newspaper - and has won five accolades including an international award for European languages.
After listening to our podcast, you can click here to find out more about the impressive work done by the school as part of the Comenius project.
